Oktoberfest Party Parade & Keg Tapping Ceremony

The Mayor and his Marching Oktoberfest Folken, dressed in traditional Lederhosen and Dirndl dresses, marsch down the thoroughfare with flags, banners, wreaths, and drums. As they approach the pavilion they sing the traditional Oktoberfest song, « Ein Prosit, ein Prosit, der Gemütlichkeit » in preparation for the Ceremonial Tapping of the Keg.
