Media Requirements & Qualifications

Complimentary tickets will only be issued to qualified media personnel in the following media markets: Los Angeles, CA; Bakersfield, CA; Ventura, CA; Fresno, CA; Inland Empire, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; San Diego, CA. 

Please read the admission policy prior to completing and submitting the Media Ticket Request Form. Requests that do not comply with this policy will not be fulfilled/honored. Working members of the news media in the following categories qualify:

    • Print Media: publishers, editors, reporters, writers/journalists, photographers
    • Broadcast Media: station managers, producers, news directors, assignment editors, promotional directors, and « on-air » personnel including anchors/hosts/DJs, reports and photographers
    • Freelance Journalists who provide confirmation of assignment
    • Blogger Media: complimentary admission for bloggers will be decided upon by the Public Relations department on a case-by-case basis. If the boggler is determined to have a valuable reach and following, they will be regarded as Digital Content Partners. Applicable handles and publication samples at time of request are required. 

For those who qualify:

    • A maximum of two (2) complimentary general admission tickets per year, valid for one visit on any regular operating day (please refer to the applicable park’s operating calendar) are offered. Please consider blockout dates listed below. 
    • Complimentary media admissions do not include separately ticketed or private events.
    • Request for tickets must be submitted via the Media Ticket Request form at least (7) business days prior to your visit.
    • Tickets are valid only at requested park and may not be transferred.
    • Working crews (including photographers) must be escorted by a Six Flags Los Angeles Properties’ Public Relations representative at all times. Such requests must be made in advance through the Public Relations department to ensure and confirm availability. 

All requests for complimentary tickets MUST be submitted via the Media Ticket Request form. No phone or email requests will be accepted. 


Complimentary tickets are at the discretion of the park management and may not be available during high-demand time periods, which includes, but not limited to, the following dates:

Six Flags Magic Mountain

    • Memorial Weekend: May 24 – May 27
    • July 4th Weekend: July 4 – July 8
    • Labor Day Weekend: August 30 – September 2
    • Fridays & Saturdays, September 7 – November 2 
    • Thanksgiving Weekend: November 28 – December 2
    • New Year’s Weekend: December 27 – December 29
