La Ronde, Montréal, Québec
Rides > Thrill Rides > Monstre

This La Ronde attraction provides plenty of spine-tingling excitement. The Monster is the highest double wooden roller coaster in the world. Its first run was built in 1985. The second run was revamped in 1986 to appeal to true daredevils. Subjecting them a series of dizzying, gravity-defying loops, this awsome thrill ride takes passengers up to a height of almost 40 metres before diving towards the ground at speeds reaching 96 km/hr! With two trains per rail, the Monster can turn up to 112 riders into screaming, white-knuckled, trembling pools of jelly all at the same time!
